Week 17 - June 4, 2017

Hello Hello Hello!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week. Not a lot of things happend this week. Here in Yamagata the weather has been crazy, last week it was super hot, I've gotten darker which scares me because it's only June ๐Ÿ™ˆand even though it would be cloudy it's still really humid. Then the next day it would be pouring rain and cold, which makes dendo really hard because our mission President doesn't allow us to ride our bikes if it's raining. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

My companion is the best! Every companion is different in thier own great way. I love Bean Shimai, she has such great dendo fire, but also very crazy and fun. We've just had so much fun this transfer, she is also a great cook, which is so great because she has been teaching me how to make alot of Japanese food.

On Saturday we had a ward Activity at the Takahashi Fufu. We were also able to bring one of our investigators Nihei San which was amazing that she was able to come. It's a lot of fun, Nihei San had told us many times after the activity of how nice everyone is. She was amazed of how everyone talked to everyone, and never seemed like someone was ever left out. One thing that I've learned being a missionary is that members are super important in an investigators conversion. Because they will be the ones who will be fellowship information them, and making them feel welcome. We as missionaries will do all we can to help them and support them, but I think it's so important that the investigators have that support form the members as well, so that they feel like they are also loved by them. And so when Nihei San had told us how fun and loved everyone it made us feel good knowing that she was gaining that bond between them.

This week we had a lesson with Arcilia ( the Filipino we saw 2 weeks ago). That lesson was super weird becasue I finally understood everything becasue she was talking in Tagalog the whole time! She is super sweet. She was really interested in learning about the gospel. When I asked her if she had a time where she felt God's love before, she told me of when she was in the Philippines her house was burnt down, but all though she had this happend she was still grateful becasue her family was all safe. She told us how she knew that God was watching over her and her family, and she could have chose to feel mad , but she wasnt, and looked for the blessings. We then testified of how God loves each one of us, and how we are all his children. After the lesson she asked us if it's ok if she can bring her friend to church as well. Being a missionary is such a great experience, each day we come in contact with many people, all different all having different stories. We also have days though we're people don't want to talk to us, and we get "keko-ed", but it's those times where we can choose to be mad or learn from the experience, and look for the blessings.

Love you all, ❤
