みなさんこんにちわ! First things first Happy Fathers day to all the father's out there!  This past couple of weeks has been crazy. We will be getting a new mission president this July, so to make it easier for President Sekiguchi President Smith had transfers again last week, and have this transfer for 9 weeks. Which is all good because Bean Shimai has honestly been the Best.  One of the things Yamagata is really famous for is for their cherries. So this week they held a cherry festival. It was a blast the weather was great and Bean Shimai and I were able to go with one of our investigators Nihei San.  Also miracle of the week. The person that we stopped last week went to Eikawa, and not only that but also read the Book of Mormon, and next week we will be having a lesson with her.  Sorry really Short email this week. I promise I'll send a longer one next week. It hasn't been easy, but it's rewarding. Bean Shimai had told me this analogy of

Hello hello!  This week has been such a great week I can't believe it's already week four transfer 5!  It's honestly been so fast. This week has been a lot of fun we did a lot of finding,  I have the best companion. She has been the bomb, she's been walking with me even though she doesn't need to and she keeps encouraging me even though I feel bad that she has to walk all the time but she's been great!  We also went out on splits with the very best STLs. I also got to see Shibahara shimai again which was really fun. It was great. I got to work with Williamson Shimai learned so much from her and her testimony. I am so happy to be able to be with different missionaries and have the opportunity to learn from them. They are all amazing examples to me. The next day after splits we had zone conference. Since I've been in Japan I've been in 3 different zones. It was so nice going around and being able to see different missionaries each time.

Hello Everyone, I hope everyone had a great week. I know I sure did.  Working in Kamisugi was great I really came to love it there but Hachinohe is amazing, small and cold I'm already wearing leggings, but very cute. The members are also super nice. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to work here. As a district we watched the women's General meeting with the missionary couple serving here in the base. Great American food and a lot of spiritual lessons learned. It was so nice being able to watch it. All were amazing talks. I really like Elder Uchdorf's talk about the three sisters. He talked about how these three sister all had different personalities, the first and second one he described as sad and mad, and the third one glad. Though not perfect the third sister chose to be glad instead of being mad and sad like her sisters. As a missionary we have times where we will have opportunities to choose whether to be sad or mad. But when we choose to be

Hello everyone! I hope y'all had a great week. We didn't do a lot this week because I did end up getting a cold, but we still had a fabulous week. So first things first, on Saturday we got our transfer calls and I will be moving to Hachinohe! Up north, just in time for the winter . Very excited, though I've only been in Kamisugi for six weeks, I have really loved being here, we are so close to everything, but that's ok,  back to Shuwa! Oh and not only that but my wonderful companion  will also be transferring, and we will be closing Kamisugi for sisters .  We had a joint lesson planned, with Shion Shimai. While we were heading to the appointment, I had a flashback moment when I would do joint lessons with the Sisters in Prince Rupert. It was weird to think that I'm now the missionary.  This week was great, we had our last lesson with Fenny Shimai and her family. We had planned on teaching them about baptism and the Holy Ghost, but ended up splitti

Hello hello hello,  Short email this week, sorry I'm  in the process of catching a cold. But highlight of the week! Fenny Shimai and her family came to church again this week!  That being said Rie Chan was able to receive confirmation on Sunday. It was such a great spiritual day. Apparently the mission has been trying to get this family to come to church since March because of this, but all is well. The daughter has great knowledge and willingness to learn more about the church. After her confirmation she turned to us and asked us, if the Holy Ghost is with me right now? We then smiled and said yes, she also smiled. It was such a great experience.    This week we also had zone conference. Many things was learnt, but one thing that I came to realize is that there is no such thing as a perfect missionary, we always have room to improve. Also in zone conference we were told that we are able to use Facebook to do missionary work. Its so crazy how we are able to use technolog

みなさんこんにちわ! What a great week it has been!! Sorry I wasn't able to send out an email last week. My laziness took over me, but don't you worry I'll make it up with lots of pictures.  Many great things happened this week. On Wednesday we had an appointment with a lady we saw 2 weeks ago but ended up missing because of lack of communication between us. She was apparently waiting for 1 hour for us until she decided to leave, and because we had our phone on silent, and she called from a phone box, we weren't able to get her in time. She then called us later that night and told us she read the Book of Mormon, All of it!!  we then ended up meeting with her again last week, and invited her to be baptized. She was a little hesitant, but she didn't say no, but wanted to read the Book of Mormon again before deciding.  Another great experience we had was on Sunday. So there is this Less active Filipino member who everyone wanted us to go see, but never can get
