Week 29 - September 4, 2017

Hello Familia!

It was a great week this week, a lot of finding and searching. I thought being in the big city would mean a lot of prepared people... haha, but that's ok. 

It's starting to get cooler here, so that only means summer is coming to an end, and winter is coming. Which means I might once again gain weight because I won't be sweating or able to ride my bike, but don't you worry, I have another summer here in Japan, right before I go home. So that means I will be well fit once I get home. 

Thanks for all the pictures you sent me (Arielle and Mom). You all looked like you had a blast this summer. Abigail looks like she`s getting more adult like each time I see her, and also dad seems like he is loosing weight! You all look great.!

As everyone is heading back to school, and starting to get busy again, I thought I would just share a small thing from my studies this morning... DON'T FORGET TO WRIGHT ME NOW AND THEN!!! Haha. No but as school and work start up, it sometimes gets hard to find time for scripture studies and family prayer. But I testify that the power of prayer and scripture reading can help us through those times of stress and discouragement. I have this video that I love sharing during lessons. It's called Mountains to climb. I highly recommend it, especially for FHE.  It's about having trails and sometimes discouragement, but as these people seek for God's hands in those times, they were able to overcome those trails. Through Christ Atonement, we can all feel peace. Love you all. Best of luck in school and WORK!

ใฟใชใ•ใ‚“ใ“ใ‚“ใซใกใ‚！ First things first Happy Fathers day to all the father's out there!  This past couple of weeks has been crazy. We will be getting a new mission president this July, so to make it easier for President Sekiguchi President Smith had transfers again last week, and have this transfer for 9 weeks. Which is all good because Bean Shimai has honestly been the Best.  One of the things Yamagata is really famous for is for their cherries. So this week they held a cherry festival. It was a blast the weather was great and Bean Shimai and I were able to go with one of our investigators Nihei San.  Also miracle of the week. The person that we stopped last week went to Eikawa, and not only that but also read the Book of Mormon, and next week we will be having a lesson with her.  Sorry really Short email this week. Week 30 - Sept 12. 2017

ใฟใชใ•ใ‚“ใ“ใ‚“ใซใกใ‚！ What a great week it has been!! Sorry I wasn't able to send out an email last week. My laziness took over me, but don't you worry I'll make it up with lots of pictures.  Many great things happened this week. On Wednesday we had an appointment with a lady we saw 2 weeks ago but ended up missing because of lack of communication between us. She was apparently waiting for 1 hour for us until she decided to leave, and because we had our phone on silent, and she called from a phone box, we weren't able to get her in time. She then called us later that night and told us she read the Book of Mormon, All of it!!  we then ended up meeting with her again last week, and invited her to be baptized. She was a little hesitant, but she didn't say no, but wanted to read the Book of Mormon again before deciding.  Another great experience we had was on Sunday. Week 11 - April 24, 2017 CHERRY BLOSSOMS!

Hello!!! I am loving Japan more and more each day! It's honestly beautiful here, if only you all can see it. People here are so kind and fun to talk with, the people in the ward is so fun and just amazing. The more I get to know each one of them, my love for them grows. This Sunday I finally got to meet a Filipino member who my companion has been waiting for me to meet. She was so sweet, when she figured out I was a Filipino she began to cry, and kept telling me how I was a blessing to her she was honestly so sweet, we then started talking in Tagalog with each other. A language I can actually understand and somewhat can speak.  On Tuesday we had  the opportunity to do service at an old care home, getting there itself was a struggle, it honestly felt like I was climbing a mountain.
